Thought on Destiny
Thought One
Someone has asked me if everything is predestined. I believe that we are bound by a loose rope within a boundary.
Within that boundary we have free will. There is a school of thought that believes that the only choice we have is
over our reactions.
I believe that there are 3 kinds of circumstances:
- Like a common cold, it will run its time. The only choice you have is to
take some kind of pain killer. You could keep yourself busy, in the meantime with something pleasant.
- Like a more serious illness, you have to take antibiotics and you will
be cured, The 'antibiotics' are called: Efforts and Prayer.
- It is like a terminal disease and only Divine Intervention will help.
The problem that since we do not know which kind of circumstances we are dealing with, we have to put in our efforts, which maybe in the form of any
action or prayer.
However in retrospect ,if you try, you would be able to know what kind of
circumstance you went through. E.g. The 'time-limited' one is 'pain', which however hard you tried to
alleviate, only 'time' helped.
This is what life is. Choices or no choices.
Do your best and leave the rest.
